Please be advised, residents are required to have a permit (aka dump sticker) visible on their vehicles to utilize the Solid Waste Facility. Permits may be obtained for $5, plus proof of residency, at the Wolfeboro Town Office, Monday - Friday from 8AM to 4PM.
Description of Our Services
The Solid Waste division consists of (4) full-time employees. The division is responsible for the handling of over 5000 tons of waste and recyclables annually. We have an award winning recycling program and a recycling rate of over 50 percent. We recycle the following: glass, cardboard, mixed paper, newspaper, tin cans, aluminum cans, plastics #’s 1-7, shingles, electronics, scrap metal, propane tanks, Fluorescent lights, batteries and tires. We will continue to be on the cutting edge of recycling and reducing the costs to the taxpayers.
