Join us on Saturday, January 28th for our first ever Abenaki Mattress Race, hosted by Friends of Abenaki and Wolfeboro Parks and Recreation.

Abenaki Ski Area is a community owned and operated ski area in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire. With trails cut first in 1936, and the ropetow and the lodge built in 1940, Abenaki is the oldest small ski area in America, as well as one of the 10 oldest ski areas in the  country overall. During the 2010-2011 season we will be celebrating our 75th Anniversary, so come on out and celebrate great riding, skiing and history in the making at Abenaki this winter.

We are open to the public and offer 7 trails from green to black diamond, glade skiing, night skiing, a terrain park, one of the fastest rope tows on the East Coast, friendly staff and a small lodge with wood stove and space to relax. We have a full size groomer and a small but mighty snowmaking operation—not to mention some of the best conditions you will find in the Northeast. Due to the relatively small crowds (compared to the big boys like Loon, Gunstock and Bretton Woods), there are no lift lines, great conditions with virtually no ice and a friendly, small town vibe. 12292011_30148_1.jpg

And the price is right. We’re proud to offer weekday lift tickets for $5 for residents  and $9 for our friends from out of town. On weekends the prices go up a dollar. You can buy a youth season pass for $25 or a family pass for $110. This is the place to be when the economy is taking a toll on your wallet.

So grab your board or you skis and come join us for fun, inexpensive riding and skiing in the heart of New Hampshire’s Lakes Region!
