Ethan Hipple, Director
I started with the Wolfeboro Parks and Recreation Department in October of 2008, and it's been a great adventure getting to know the people, places and beauty of Wolfeboro. Before working in Wolfeboro, I've served as a Camp Director, Director of the SCA New Hampshire Conservation Corps (an AmeriCorps program), and managed the Western Region of the Student Conservation
Association's High School Conservation Program. Over the years I've also gotten to work as a Wilderness Trip Leader, Trail Crew, Snowmaker, Rickshaw driver and Hut Crew for the AMC White Mountain Hut System. Here in Wolfeboro I have the privilege of overseeing all of the aspects of the Department of Parks and Recreation and working to support the work of our excellent staff. We're so lucky to live in this recreational paradise that has something for just
about anyone--downhill skiing, beaches, hiking, biking, kayaking, boating, ice skating, fishing, XC skiing and running, youth sports, open spaces, mountains and lakes--and I'm enjoying working to make recreation a part of everyone's life here in Wolfeboro and our surrounding communities. My family and I live in Tuftonboro, NH and are having fun fixing up our house, building XC ski trails on our property and surfing, kayaking, hiking, and skiing.

Maintenance Crew Leader Kathy Rankin
I was hired in April of 1986 under the Director Peter Brewitt. I was born and raised here in beautiful Wolfeboro. Over the years I managed to build a nice log home on my grandfather’s property deep in the woods. I love this job because of the full four seasons that our department deals with. I enjoy keeping the grounds and our facility’s looking top notch. I have been certified through “Star” as an “Ice Technician”, completing all 5 courses. We have a great staff and I look forward to many more fun years with Wolfeboro Parks and Recreation Department!
