Yes! Our lost and found for all programs is located at our offices at the Pop Whalen Arena.
Who qualifies for the resident rate for programs and facilities?
Many of our programs have a resident and non-resident rate. Residents receive a reduced rate because they support the programs and facilities through the taxes they pay each year. If you live in Wolfeboro, you qualify for the resident rate. In addition, Tuftonboro and Brookfield both pay an annual grant to the town of Wolfeboro to help support our programs and facilities, and in return, Tuftonboro and Brookfield residents are offered the resident rate.
If we live outside Wolfeboro or Tuftonboro but my child goes to a Wolfeboro school, am I considered a resident?
Not necessarily. If you live outside of Wolfeboro/Tuftonboro and your child goes to a Wolfeboro school, you are paying taxes to the Governor Wentworth Regional School District, not the Town of Wolfeboro. The Wolfeboro Parks and Recreation budget is not part of the Governor Wentworth Regional School District budget. Currently, only residents of Wolfeboro, Tuftonboro and Brookfield qualify for the resident rate.
I am a grandparent who lives year round in Wolfeboro. Can my grandchildren register for programs as residents?
Yes. We extend the benefit of resident rates to grandchildren of the many grandparents who call Wolfeboro (or Tuftonboro and Brookfield) home. Call the office to qualify for this benefit 603-569-5639.
When will the Parks and Recreation Brochure be published?
We publish the Parks and Recreation Brochure twice annually. Our Spring/Summer/Fall Brochure is published in late March and our Fall/Winter Brochure is published in early October. You can view programs and activities online anytime here.
Where can I find a brochure?
You can always find a brochure at the Wolfeboro, Tuftonboro and Brookfield Town Halls and Libraries. They are also available at our office at the Pop Whalen Ice Arena at 390 Pine Hill Rd, the Wolfeboro Area Chamber of Commerce and many other retail locations throughout town. Brochures are always sent home with K-6 students in Wolfeboro and Tuftonboro. You can view programs and activities online anytime here.
I saw a safety hazard in a park, beach or facility. Who should I contact?
