Designed by Dr. Henry Libby and built in 1912, the Libby Museum has continued its founder’s original goal of educating visitors to the wonders of the natural world for over ninety years. In recent years the Museum has hosted various children’s programs from other associations in the Lakes Region. A popular visit for summertime tourists, the Libby also holds memories for grownups who remember it when they were young.
The Libby Museum was voted “Best Eclectic Little Museum” in 2004 by The New Hampshire Magazine. In June 2006 it hosted and was featured on WMUR ABC 9’s “New Hampshire Chronicle”.
