Wolfeboro Waters

Wolfeboro Waters is a citizens group that came about as concerns heightened over water quality of the lakes and ponds that are such an important part of the character of Wolfeboro and the surrounding area. We  initiate communication and outreach programs to develop more community awareness and involvement in protecting these precious resources. We hope you will join us!

Wolfeboro Waters was happy to see that on March 14, 2023,
Wolfeboro Voters approved Warrant Articles 13 and 31
.

Article 13: Sewer Line extensions. This addressed two sections of town where septic systems are not working well or are already in failure. The area served includes Jockey Cove where water has tested high for E. Coli over some periods during the last 2 summers.
Passing of this Article will also let the town connect the septic system to bathroom facilities located at Carry beach.

Article 31: Water Resources Non-Capital Reserve Funding. This puts aside funds to deal with stormwater run-off and wash out at locations such as Whitegate Road and Albee Beach.
