Automated Meter Reading (AMR) Installations
Purpose and Background
The Town of Wolfeboro Municipal Electric Department is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP), to provide Electric Meter Installation Services associated with implementation of an Automated Meter Reading (AMR) project for the Department.
AMR technology has been implemented and is actively being utilized to read approximately 25% (1,400 meters) of the electric service locations within Wolfeboro’s franchise area. The Electric Department has successfully implemented a process utilizing iPad Air 2 tablets to collect the pertinent meter information required for meter change outs. This information is then downloaded, formatted and electronically transferred for integration into the Electric Department’s billing system.
Scope of Services
It is the Department’s intent to receive per unit contract pricing proposals for the installation of the following quantities and types of electric meters: utilizing the methods and process as defined within this scope of services.
- Install 3,800 single phase 2S, CL200 meters
- Install 150 single phase 2S, CL 320 meters (with by-pass sockets)
- Install 70 three-phase 16S, CL 200 meters
- Install 10 three-phase 16S, Cl320 meters (with by-pass sockets)
Please note that the quantities listed are as of the issuance date of this document and are subject to change (+/- 200 meters) based upon the actual start date of this project.
