ISAC Meeting

Present, Peter Chamberlin, Jim Collins, Will Herman, Keith Simpson

Meeting began at 3:00 PM

New IT assistant:  Your's truly, Keith Simpson
Reviewed, discussed what some of the tasks of the new position will be. 

Discussed the budget and that, Article 11, operating budget was overwhelmingly passed.

Discussed briefly upcoming IT projects:
1.  upgrade of fire and police system, it is in the process of being installed
2.  AC for server room.  Also about to be installed

Pete reported that any any hardware upgrades will wait until after fire and
police project are complete.

Pete passed out copies of the computer use policy and agreement for review and
future discussion.

Jim brought up the possibility of engaging other communications companies
(internet).  For several minutes different possibilities were discussed for
what are varied issues.  Fiber serves Town Hall well, but Parks and Rec
proposes some special challenges.  Will mentioned "Ubiquity" as a posible
solution, a firm that handles line-of-site options that might work well from
Sugar Hill or from another hilltop around Abenaki.

Schedule was set for 2nd wednesday then next three months, at 2:30, except next
month at 3:30
