Attendees,  Jim Collins:, Deb Zabcar, Chief of Police Rondeau, Becky Merrow, Matt Plach, Will Herman, Keith Simpson 

Meeting came to order at:  11:10AM

KS started the meeting laying out the agenda.

Becky began to explain some of the issues regarding Firstnet.

She mentioned a meeting with Jean Shaheen, with some alternatives.

Cheif Rondeau spoke:
 1. mentioned concern with ATT coverage.
 2.discussed what they currently have for equipment.
 3.they use verizon cards right now.
  AirCards cost $3500 8 vehicles, not unlimited data, which includes phones.
    $1500 for addition 3 cards.

 Matt asked about apps.  Cheif said cell phones, which are dedicated devices
(no officer personal use for legal purposes.) They take photos, videos.

Matt read off his bullet points for FirstNet presentation

Importance of coverage was discussed.  

Cheif Rondeau brought up IMC as a way information is shared.  Dedicated
terminals MBT (mobile data terminals.)  

Matt suggested a trial of the system.  

Several minutes were spent discussing cameras.

Main selling points for FirstNet are priorty, pre-emption, security.

Questions for Firstnet:

1.  Purely data.
2.  What spectrum?  (pre-emption capable) 
3.  priority of pre-emption  (MP explain)
4.  Who declares the emergency to assign.
5.  Can we get a trial card.
6.  Can we get 5G?

Matt explained 5G, what it promises.  

We discussed other options and what level of service might be possible with
them.

Committee will contact Verizon to get cards to try with our current systems.

We discussed kinds of disasters we encounter.  Ice storms rank high.
