South Main Street Construction Updates 2024

Dear Residents, Business Owners, and Tenants, please see the following for detailed information regarding South Main Street Water Replacement Project.

The Town of Wolfeboro is in the design development stage of a new project to remove and replace the existing water lines, water services, hydrants, valves, etc. on South Main Street from Pickering Corner to the Smith River Bridge downtown.

The project also includes work on Dockside, Depot St, Railroad Ave and Central Ave.

This project is expected to be advertised, bid, and awarded in Winter 2024. The anticipated construction period will start in spring 2024 and work until Memorial Day. No work is anticipated to take place from Memorial Day to Labor Day 2024. Work will resume after Labor Day 2024 and work until weather permits in winter 2024. The project will shut down for Winter 2024 and resume in Spring 2025. It is anticipated the project will be completed by Memorial Day 2025.
