The Solid Waste Division consists of (4) full-time employees. The Division is responsible for the handling of over 5000 tons of waste and recyclables annually. We have an award winning recycling program and a recycling rate of over 50 percent. We recycle the following: glass, cardboard, mixed paper, newspaper, tin cans, aluminum cans, plastics #’s 1-7, shingles, electronics, scrap metal, propane tanks, fluorescent lights, batteries and tires. We will continue to be on the cutting edge of recycling and reducing the costs to the taxpayers.
DUE TO COVID-19: Passes for the Solid Waste Facility may be purchased either through the mail (Attn: Billings & Collection Office PO Box 629, Wolfeboro, NH 03894-0629) or left in the drop box located at the far end of the parking lot behind Town Hall. Please provide a self-addressed stamped envelope and state the location of property, contact information and payment for up to three passes ($5.00 each). As soon as the information is verified passes will be mailed out, usually within 24 hours.
