Municipal Electric Department accepting sealed bids for 55 Foot Articulating Material Handling Aerial Bucket Unit and Service Body
The Town of Wolfeboro Municipal Electric Department will be accepting sealed bids for the purchase of a 55 Foot Articulating Material Handling Aerial Bucket Unit and Service Body with specified equipment and accessories to be delivered in ready-to-use condition.
Instructions To Bidders:
- The Town of Wolfeboro Municipal Electric Department intends to purchase a unit which meets the specifications provided, however; if it is necessary to bid alternate equipment or to take exception to the specifications stated: detailed explanations or descriptions of substitutions and/or deviations must be noted in the bid response indicating the item number of that specification. This is required in each and every instance where the Wolfeboro Municipal Electric Department specification is not met. If no exception details are indicated, it will be assumed that the bidder will furnish the item exactly as specified.
- Bid option (No. 1) will provide for the inclusion of pricing for the Truck Chassis and Cab as specified within sections (6.00-6.52) Note that the Town of Wolfeboro Municipal Electric Department reserves the right to purchase the Truck Chassis and Cab independently of this bid agreement and this is to be considered as an option only.
- The Town of Wolfeboro Municipal Electric Department intends to trade or sell a 2014 International 4300 series chassis/cab with a Telelect HRX52, Bucket / Material Handler (ME-3). Trade will be considered in “as is” condition and the value of trade allowance will be listed separately on a bid sheet (to be deducted from new unit pricing cost). Arrangements for the viewing of ME-3 trade-in can be scheduled by contacts listed below. Note: The Town of Wolfeboro Municipal Electric Department reserves the right to reject any trade-in allowance offers which are not deemed to be in the best interest of the Town.
- Prospective bidders must complete the attached itemized bid form, specification compliance sheet and a signed anti-collusion clause completed by an authorized representative of the bidding company.
All bids must be submitted in an envelope plainly marked “Bucket Truck.” The sealed envelope shall be addressed as follows:

- Bids must be received no later than Thursday, May 2nd 2024 at 2:00 PM, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Any bids received after that time will not be considered.

The Town of Wolfeboro Municipal Electric Department reserves the right to reject any or all bids without explanation, to waive technicalities and informalities and to re-advertise for new bids for whatever reason deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of Wolfeboro. Bids which fail to meet the requirements or which are incomplete, conditional or obscure, or which contain additions not called for, erasures, alterations or irregularities of any kind including evidence of collusion, or in which errors occur or which contain abnormally high or abnormally low prices may be rejected as informal.
