Bid for the sale and/or re-use of the 1910 Lehner Street pump station building, located at 5 Valley Lane, Wolfeboro NH
The Town of Wolfeboro, New Hampshire will be accepting bids for the sale and/ or re-use of the 1910 Lehner Street pump station building, located at 5 Valley Lane, Wolfeboro NH (Map 218 Lot 12) until May 10, 2023, at 2:30 PM, at which time the bids will be opened publicly and read out loud. This sale is “AS IS, AS SHOWN” and photos of the building are located on the town website. This building is beyond its useful life as a pump station and the Town of Wolfeboro has already held two public hearings and is determined to demolish the building if no proposals are received. Instructions to Proposer(s):
- This bid is for the building only and does not include the underlying land.
- The building, whether in whole or in pieces will need to be removed from the site no later than, June 10, 2023, by 4:00 PM.
- Interested parties can submit a proposal to re-use the building “as is” and remove the building from the site by the date listed above.
- Interested parties can submit a proposal to deconstruct the building for re-use of the materials provided any and all materials are removed from the site by the date listed above.

- he successful proposal will be required to include how the building will be removed and/or relocated.
- The successful proposal will include a timeline of the building removal and site cleanup and demonstrate the necessary experience and qualifications to adhere to the proposed timeline.
- Any questions or inquires must be submitted in writing and must be received no later than five business days prior to the due date to be considered to tmsecretary@wolfeboronh.us and clearly mark Lehner Street building in the subject line.
- Submit bid in a sealed envelope marked “BID – LEHNER ST PUMP STATION” to James S. Pineo, Town Manager, P.O. Box 629, 84 South Main St., Wolfeboro, NH 03894.
The only compensation accepted from the successful proposer is one dollar ($1.00). The successful proposer(s) is not dependent on the highest proposal, but the most satisfactory plan to remove the building within the timeline. If the building is not removed by the date specified above, the bid will be canceled and any and all rights of the successful proposer(s) in the building will be cancelled. The successful proposer(s) will hold the Town of Wolfeboro, its agents and employees harmless from any and all claims or demands of any nature related to the building an any efforts to deconstruct, remove, or relocate any aspect of the building. Proposals can be mailed but must be received by due date, in person or emailed to bids@wolfeboronh.us with Lehner Street building in the subject line. No faxes will be accepted. Proposals received after the designated time for opening of proposals will be returned to the proposer(s) unopened. The Town of Wolfeboro reserves the right, when in its best interest, to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities.
