Conservation Commission

The Wolfeboro Conservation Commission is an advisory board offering advice and guidance to other Town land use boards & committees and to the State’s environmental and economic agencies. The Commission actively manages Town owned lands, monitors conservation easements under its purview, and works with other municipal and private land use agencies within Carroll County and beyond. Our goal is to help the Town strike a balance between appropriate use and necessary protection of the natural resources within our environment and community.

The purpose of the Commission shall be to ensure the proper utilization and protection of the natural resources, ecosystems, scenic vistas and open spaces of Wolfeboro; to protect the watershed resources of Wolfeboro; and to further an awareness and understanding of conservation practices and policies throughout the Town and region.
