Meeting Minutes

Members present: Susan Goodwin, Marc Martin, John Russell, Tom Ouhrabka, Kathy Barnard

Susan called the meeting to order at 8:01 AM.

The August 22, 2019 minutes were reviewed. Tom made a motion to approve the minutes as submitted.  Marc seconded the motion. All members voted in favor of the motion.

Susan said the reason for the meeting was to adjust the previously approved 2020 Milfoil Control Committee budget. At the 8/22/19 Milfoil Control Committee meeting the committee members approved a budget request of $34,769.  Since that time Amy Smagula from NHDES had her interns re-survey Goodwin Basin.  No milfoil was seen during the re-survey; therefore, the budget request can be reduced.  The total proposed budget request can now be reduced to $29,150.  This is the same as the 2019 Milfoil Control Committee budget.
The budget request will be re-submitted as follows: $17,400 – hand pulling for about 16 days; $4,250 – Lake Host program; $7,500 – chemical re-treatment of Back Bay in 2020; TOTAL $29,150.  The wording in the budget request will also have minor adjustments.
Kathy made a motion to approve and submit the proposed, adjusted budget. Marc seconded the motion. All members present voted in favor of the motion.

Susan reported that Bob Patterson has not yet been paid.  Susan and Kathy will follow up to determine the reason payment has not been made.  Bob is also suggesting that the Town enter in to a 3-year contract with him.  This issue will be further discussed at a future meeting.

Susan said the committee will meet again in January or February 2020.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:23 AM.
