Members present: Susan Goodwin, Kathy Barnard, Becky Bartlett, Jim McDevitt, Linda Murray, Tom Ouhrabka, John Russell

Susan Goodwin called the meeting to order at 8:00 AM.

The January 28, 2019 minutes were reviewed. John made a motion to approve the minutes. Tom seconded the motion. All members voted in favor of approving the minutes.

Susan reported that Bob Pierpont has resigned from the committee due to health reasons.

Susan reported on her conversations and emails from Amy Smagula and Solitude regarding the milfoil control activities that are needed in Back Bay this summer. According to the survey done in Back Bay a chemical treatment will be needed on 11.3 acres near the water ski jump (middle of Back Bay). Hand pulling will need to be done around some shore areas of Back Bay and near the dock areas.  The divers will probably be in Back Bay at the end of the week of July 22nd.  They will need to dock their boat/equipment at the Town docks.  Becky reported that the water ski club will have an event in Back Bay on 7/29/19.  The divers will not interfere with this event. Becky also mentioned there is an event in Back Bay on 9/7/19.
Amy Smagula has suggested that the chemical treatment be done earlier in the season.
The committee members discussed this issue and determined that the chemical treatment needs to take place in mid-September 2019 (after 9/7/19).
Susan will obtain specific information from Solitude regarding the costs and the areas for the chemical treatment.
There was a discussion about the wording on the signs advising people of the chemical treatment. This seems to concern some Back Bay users/residents. It was mentioned that the signs were approved by NHDES.
Linda and Susan will contact Marc and conduct another survey of Back Bay to make certain the divers are aware of all the areas where hand pulling needs to occur.
Tom reported that hand pulling will take place in Lake Wentworth/Crescent Lake soon.
At this time Tom is not certain if a chemical treatment is needed or not needed.
Bob Shilo has sent an invoice for The Lake Host program to the Town and has not yet received payment.  Linda will follow up on this issue.

Susan said the committee will meet again at the end of August to prepare a proposed budget.  Date to be determined.

A motion was made by Tom and seconded by Becky to adjourn the meeting.  All voted in favor of the motion. Meeting adjourned at 8:45 AM.
